Where is He and why is He letting this happen?

After the feeding of the 5,000 in John 6, Jesus sends His disciples across a sea and goes up on a mountain to pray. In the middle of the night (like 3am) the disciples are caught up in this terrible storm and still no sign of Jesus, whom they had seen calm the same sea before during another terrible storm. I figure there was some complaining on the boat and some questions like, "Where is He? Why is He letting this happen?

Sometimes we fail to recognize the way God has worked in our lives previously (for the disciples they failed to recognize a valuable lesson from the feeding of the 5,000) as an encouragement to face the present trial with faith.

Ravi Zacharias recently had a phenomenal sermon on Job and dealing with the issue of suffering. He makes a great point that if God can talk all chaos of the universe and create such beautiful design surely he can take the troubles in your life and make some beautiful from them.
