One of the reasons I read the ESV

J.I. Packer:

"I was privileged to act as General Editor of the English Standard Version, and now that I look back on what we did in producing that version, I find myself suspecting very strongly that this was the most important thing that I have ever done for the Kingdom..."

Wes, I know you recently have acquired a ESV. Tell me what you think in comparison to the NAS. Is is any more student friendly than the NAS?

I think it is more student-friendly. Its a little more fluid (if thats the right word...) than the NAS, and the only real negative that I've seen with it is the fact that most people you'll hear teaching from won't have the same translation. But unless that bothers you, or you get lost easily, I'd still recommend it.
