I have a friend who memorizes #'s by comparing them to famous athlete's #'s (this is for you Ed).
Here's a website that tells the best athlete at each #. If we're talking pure athletics, then I can't figure out why Allen Iverson isn't representative of #3 instead of fat Babe Ruth.

Missing the whole point! The point is not to say the BEST athlete by that number. The point is to quiz your buddy by giving them obscure athletes and push them to think a little harder. Example: my home phone is Area Code-Steve Largent, Brett Favre. Chris Dowdy, Mike Mussina, Jason Kidd, Drew Brees, D-Wade, and McNabb. Fat chance any of you will be calling me anytime soon.
